Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
I bought this little bottle of Josie Maran 100% pure argan oil, when we were in the States at the end of last year, but since I still had some of my other facial oil left, I didn't start using it until the beginning of this year.
I only bought the small travel size as I had heard a few people saying that it was to rich for their skin and made them break out. I do find that some facial oils clock up my pores, but I also find that that dry oils makes me get dry patches, so I decided to just try the small size of the original version.

Kérastase Biotic and Resistance
Once again it seems I have a new Kérastase post, click Here to read the others, but this truly is one of my favourite hair care brands.
I was looking on Kérastase website, reading about some of the new'er products and for some reason I didn't seem to be able to find the Specifique Bain Vital Dermo-Calm that I wrote about not long ago, but instead there were some new (probably not that new though) Specifique products called Bain Bio-Recharge. Now I don't know if it means that the Bain Bio-Recharge has replaced the Bain Vital Dermo-Calm and I have tried contacting Kérastase about it, but with no response so far, but it seems to be aimed at the same thing the Bain Bio-Recharge just targeting a few more areas.

Romantic pampering for one
So today is Valentines day and I am going to be sitting alone tonight as my husband is working. Now we don't really celebrate Valentines day in a big way anyway, but for some reason it sort of feels wrong not to celebrate it a little bit despite being alone. Kind of like when I was on the couch alone being sick this new year, it just didn't feel right to waist a perfectly good celebration.
So I have come up with a plan for tonight to have an evening of pampering, so if you are alone this evening or having a girls night, this might be for you. But don't let this be just a pampering night on valentines day, make sure you always make some quality time for your self, because if you are not nice to your self, then why should other people be.

Valentines day is just around the corner now, so here are my classic Valentines day gift ideas with a bit of a difference and things I would be dreaming of. It might give you some ideas for what to get the lady in your life, a list for you to pass on as a hint to someone or maybe for you to buy yourself a gift this Valentines day.

What is Cosmeceuticals?
This has been
one of the most asked questions I have gotten when telling people that I use
to work for a company that distributed cosmeceuticals here in the UK.
The word Cosmeceutical is made up of 2 words, cosmetic and Pharmaceutical.
To make this short, in general, cosmetics are the products we get on the high street and Pharmaceuticals is products you would need a prescription for and get at a pharmacy. Now today those lines are a bit blurred, as companies are bringing out more and more products that are high in active ingredients and are more easily available, but this is just as a general guideline to understanding what a cosmeceutical is.
Cosmetic, as a generalisation, works on the top layers of your skin as they often have none or very low percentage of active ingredients, and pharmaceutical is a product that will target a skin problem head on and is quite high in active ingredients, therefore would need a prescription from your doctor or a dermatologist to buy.

Why use an antioxidant serum?
I used to work for a company that distributes cosmeceutical
here in the UK, which was where I learned about skincare and the importance of antioxidants
for your skin.
I am by no means a qualified beauty therapist, and I am not an expert in any way, but when I use to do professional training, I often got the question, why should you use an antioxidant for your skin?
Before I worked with skincare myself and was educated in how skin regeneration of skin works, I would get so confused when talking to a sales assistant, selling skin care. They would quite often explain what an antioxidant is, with big, difficult to understand words that they didn’t even seem to understand completely them selfs, and I would feel even more confused than before I went into the shop.
So because of that, I found a visual way to explain it, that everyone could understand, not just qualified beauty therapist.
Imagine your body as one giant machine, which transforms the food we eat into nutrients and antioxidants for your body and its organs. Now despite the skin being our bodies biggest organ, it is often the last one on the list to get a piece of the antioxidant pie. This means that most people don’t get enough antioxidants through their diet, for the skin to be optimally protected against everyday dangers.

Finding your colours
Part of my training at makeup school was colour testing, and I remember at the time thinking “ this is so worthless to learn”, but actually it is probably one of the things I have gotten most use out of, and where I feel I have been most helpful to others.
